April 27 - May 4, 2019

Have you ever considered running away with the circus? Here’s your chance! Join Myah Skibin and Megan Simpson in Dominican this April in collaboration with Extreme Circus Cabarete. Located right on a beautiful sand beach with brightly coloured water, the yoga shala has an ocean view of Kite Beach, appropriately named for the waters full of colourful kite surfers. For the very first time, Yogigos has teamed up with the friendliest, coolest, most fun circus professionals you can find to offer you a week of yoga and circus classes. Your days will begin with a yoga class followed by breakfast and then a circus class. Each day we will explore a different circus art including acro yoga, aerial silks, aerial hoop (lyra), handstand classes, maybe some juggling, and lot’s more. After morning classes the day is yours to explore the adorable town of Cabarete, hang out by the pool or on the beach, or sign up for one of the many optional activities in town from SUP yoga to waterfall jumping. We have also included a tour of the hotel’s own organic farm capped off with a river tubing experience. Yes you read that right. Your daily meals are farm to table right from the Yoga Loft’s own organic farm. Your meals will be healthy, fresh and delicious. Before dinner we will have flying trapeze class with Gregory and Mauro. All classes are accessible for beginners with the absolute best teachers to guide you through it, but there is something for everyone and there is lots of room for advancement. At the end of the week we earn our glitter and get to show off the tricks we have learned at our very own CIRCUS SHOW! Return home feeling full, invigorated, refreshed, and full of love.

The shuttle takes approximately 25 minutes from the airport. You are welcome to arrive in Cabarete early or stay later, however it will be at your own cost for shuttles and accommodations. We will be having a welcome dinner at the restaurant after we settle in to our rooms on the 27th.

If you are looking for an adventurous, adrenaline filled retreat where you will build strong connections and trust with your peers, this place is for you. Just to name a few, activities right on site or close by include swimming or SUP yoga classes, kite surfing, watching others kite surf (it’s on Kite Beach after all), circus classes, waterfall jumping, the list goes on and on. A full list of activities and pricing will be sent to you after booking.
Accommodations are at Extreme Hotel, Kite Beach, Cabarete Dominican Republic. Rooms are almost all double occupancy, and we would be happy to pair you up with a suitable roommate. Every room has it’s own private ensuite. Extreme Hotel is an eco hotel, so there are no televisions, hairdryers or technology. Shower towels are provided, however please bring your own beach towels. The hotel is solar powered and food is grown onsite or nearby. Wifi is available in common areas. Most rooms have trapeze views! Rooms will be on a first come first serve basis so be sure to book early!

2 delicious, healthy meals will be offered daily. Each meal you will be provided with a menu of items to choose from. These meals are extra special because The Yoga Loft has their own organic farm, and almost every ingredient is farm to table. You will even get a tour of the farm and a river tubing trip included. Please notify me of any dietary restrictions or allergies upon booking so that arrangements can be made.

Group Classes
There will be 1 yoga class and several circus classes offered daily and they are optional. They will be accessible for all levels and many modifications will be offered, both to simplify the class or challenge you. If you are new to circus don’t worry, these classes are very beginner friendly. If you have experience this retreat is also for you. These teachers are all professional circus performers and are very skilled at helping you to move to the next level.
Styles: Flow yoga, yin yoga, aerial silks, flying trapeze, aerial hoop (lyra), acro yoga, aerial hammock, juggling, handstands and arm balances.

Extra Things to Note:
Vaccinations - You do not require any vaccinations to travel here, although your doctor may suggest some Dukoral tablets in case of travellers diarrhea. The food and drinks on the resort are very safe and each room has a jug of safe drinking water.
Currency - Dominican uses both USD and Dominican Pesos, however most places accept USD so no need to seek out pesos. (You may receive your change in pesos). Most places DO NOT accept credit and if they do there is a very high tax on the transaction. Cash is the best way to go.
Electricity/Plugs - generally 110v and the same prongs as North America, so you will not need an adaptor.
Visa - You will be given a visa upon entry at the airport and will cost $10 USD. (Some airlines include this cost).
